I am a composer/performer and maker from Romania, based in Belgium. My work focuses on finding authenticity of the presence on stage.

As a composer I worked with performers for research purposes, collaborated in interdisciplinary projects (theater, dance, film, performance, storytelling) and elaborated creative arrangements.

My music performing activity ranges from early music to free improvisation, folk and world music, contemporary music and I am thrilled to play for special audiences ( psychiatric patients, toddlers, elderly people a.o.).

I have experience in leading creative workshops and have done so in the past 2 decades, organizing also summer camps in villages and experimental creation labs for artists.

I always dreamed of being on stage in any form. Although I have tried many art forms, instruments and styles, what I most desire to do is share music and art beyond stylistical and disciplinary restriccions with a large audience, including people who wouldn't always have access to cultural events. Below are some of my current projects:

STURM COLLECTIVE
Polymorphic ensemble researching and playing music ranging from Empfindungen of 1740's to early Romantic music (lastest experiment has been Schubert's String Quintet and Winterreise arrangements for the same formation, but other composers include Benda, Sterkel, Mozart, Jadin, Haydn).

PHILOMENA'S CONSORT
Creating bridges between experimental Renaissance music (De Macque, Cato), dances (Susato, Widmann), and pearles of XVIth and XVIIth century from other geographic areas such as Mexico and Transylvania, with new music written slecially for the rich and strong sound of the consort (violin-tenor-piccolo cello - violone). We are now preparing a multimedia show with Barjjahm Damce Company amd the video artist Montserrat Mancila Arenales.

RICERCARE - NEW MUSIC FOR PERIOD INSTRUMENTS
What started as my Master thesis became an extend program of multiple concerts per year, collective research and now a plan to create an online wiki with transsylistic composition mechanisms. I am happy to count 10 composers as part of the collective and to have had over 20 early music performers playing in the concerts.

Storytelling projects with Evi Rosiers (Zinderding), live accompaniment of stories in Dutch.
