Frédérique Aronica
violoncello
A dedicated pedagogue, Frédérique Aronica has been serving as an assistant in the CrB's baroque cello class since 2019. Guiding students towards heightened self-awareness, she aims to cultivate a quality of presence that allows them to find comfort and a creative drive when playing the instrument. For her, art is a demanding yet fulfilling form of self-realization. Contributing to the growth of the instrumentalist and nurturing their musical personality is the core of her dedication as a teacher.
Teaching holds a significant place in her professional life, and she cannot envision it without maintaining a regular performance activity. The two practices mutually enrich each other. She delves into the diverse repertoires of her instrument with keen interest, participating as a chamber musician—particularly with the string trio Intermezzo—and collaborating in various orchestras and ensembles, such as Opéra de Reims, Orchestre National de Metz, Orchestre de Picardie, Ensemble Nomos, Les Voyages extraordinaires, Cercle baroque, Ensemble Largentière, and more.
Possessing a certificate of aptitude for cello and holding a position at the Conservatoire de Laon (France), she joined the Nomos cello ensemble in 2010, focusing on contemporary music. In 2011, she embarked on a Baroque cello course at the Royal Conservatoire in Brussels, successfully completing it with a Master's degree.
This desire for openness guided her throughout her studies, starting from the CRR in Reims and later at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris. During this time, she joined writing classes (harmony, counterpoint, fugue) and musical analysis classes at the CNSM in Paris, in addition to her instrumental training.
With a strong commitment to professional training and its challenges, she has been working with the Pôle Supérieur des Hauts de France (ESMD) since 2019. In this role, she is in charge of the cello didactics module as part of the preparation for the State Diploma.
